What first inspired you to pusue a career in this field?
I am fascinated by the process of taking an idea and creating it into a real product which people use and love.
How did your time at UNSW Sydney prepare you for this?
UNSW gave me the opportunity to learn about startups and entrepreneurship and hone my skills in these areas through competitions and meeting amazing students from across the university.
Name a woman or women you look up to most – why do they inspire you?
So many women inspre me including my mother and my sister! Leila Janah is a social entrepreneur who I draw a great deal of inspiration from. She launched the #givework movement and has founded 2 organisations (Samasource and LXMI) which give work to people to help them to escape the cycle of poverty.
What advice would you give to the next generation of female leaders?
If you have an idea, just give it a go! You never know what can come out of pursuing your passions and side projects and there are so many people who are willing to help you along the way.
